Happy New Year! What a great place to spend New Year's Eve weekend. The weather was perfect & the cabin was perfect as well. We spent two great days out snowshoeing in the State Forest and settled back in at the cabin every night. Can't wait to come back again next winter! Thank you....Brenda & JK, Madison, WI

Well, we came up before June! Managed to steal away for the Memorial Weekend-the weather was gorgeous! Even the thunderstorm Sunday late afternoon with hail!! Awesome! Enjoyed the bonfire Friday with Ken & Linda and the chiminea demonstration- See you again in June!!...Andy, Amy, Eric, Sara, Marle, & Deb & Maize too!

We arrived on Monday along with the windy cold front & left Saturday with showers. But in between the weather was beautiful. Would have liked to catch more "keeper" size fish, but were able to have a fish fry one night. The cabin is great!! Everyone loved the down comforters-so cozy & warm. The cabin is well- stocked with all of the essentials. We were very impressed! We all had a great time!! We had a great time. Weather was good with only a small shower. Our golden retriever ha a lot of new smells & enjoyed his swims. What a beautiful view. Saw a few deer in the yard. Another "relaxing" vacation at Lake Rest Cabins! Pretty windy this week but the last two days have been picture perfect! We discovered "Auggie's"- wow what great food & nice restaurant! Tried a couple other places and we always ended up at Auggie's- breakfast, lunch, & dinner! We ate "home" twice- now that's a vacation! This week "Up North" was fun as usual. We went to some new restaurant and two different water ski shows. Even though we like finding these restaurants our favorite still Monicals for their amazing pizza. While the girls went in town shopping the guys went fishing whenever they could. No big catches but towards the end of the week they caught some walleye. Thank you Ken and Linda for having us again and I'm sure we'll be back again soon.....The Hansen & Suess Families

The Petersen's have had another blessed week at Lake Rest! This year we brought two new additions Thomas & Brianna- They have had a blast! From playing in the lake, boating-running around, and who would have thought that pushing their strollers around would be so much fun! The men finally got the Sun Cat up & sailing by Thursday. Not too many fish have been caught, and the bugs have not been too bad. Between the campfires & games at night we have laughed till our stomachs hurt and enjoyed each other. Even Grandpa's sunshine in the morning. We are all very glad that Keith & Amy joined us this year too. This vacation has once again brought us closer as a family. Thank you for allowing us to share your homes & this beautiful land. The sunsets are heavenly! See you next year... We had a great week of fishing. One Muskie on lil Arbor, four or five follow ups, 4 Northern over 30 inches, and a bunch of bass. Laura crapped her pants & between three of us we went three about 320 beers. Now it's time to go. We'll be back in about 355 days.....Jeff, Amanda, Jesse, & Laura

Linda & Ken, cabin was wonderful; you have a beautiful place up here. We enjoyed all the wildlife. We had a nice doe every morning eating bird food out of the feeder. It was a great motorcycle trip; weather was perfect! Thanks...Greg & Diane, Omro, WI

Another beautiful weekend in the north woods. The guys had a couple of follows of Muskies and saw an Eagle catch and each a Muskie- definitely a highlight! Our first experience at Beef A Rama was also memorable. We'll definitely be back again for the "Parade of Beef." What fun! Thanks for the bloody Mary's! Yum Yum! Ken & Linda, Fabulous cabin, great time was had by all in spite of the great northern Wisconsin weather. We especially enjoyed the dog that visited us every morning, not looking for a bone but coming with "one" if you get our drift. We certainly will return to this beautiful cabin and area. Hi Linda & Ken! We had a very nice time. Too cool to go in the lake, but the view from the porch is wonderful. We came out ahead at the casinos & love the area. The cabin is great. We will be back. Hopefully with the rest of my family.....Ruth & Val
